A thought from the heart. ArcelorMittal CLN's employees for quake-hit families

A fundraising was launched among employees during the last Family Day, the company Xmas party for employees and their families to meet and celebrate. The fundraising was to be used for a good and concrete cause. The sum of money, which was integrated  by the company, was in fact used to buy gifts for a group of children and teens from the Marches region who had to leave their homes damaged by the earthquake of last year.

The families - who come from different municipalities of the Sibillini Mountains area, all in the province of Macerata: Acquacanina, Bolognola, Camerino, Castelraimondo, Fiastra, Fiordimonte, Matelica, Pieve Torina, Bovigliana Pieve, Ussita, Visso - are currently hosted in "La Medusa" camping site of Porto Recanati.

Thus, during last December 24, this group of children and teens received extra gifts directly from Santa's hands and some colleagues of our factory in Osimo (AN).

As told by Daniel Aquinati, handing out gifts right on Christmas Eve was meant to be "an action done from the heart by employees and the board of directors", a small testimony of solidarity and sympathy in the hope that soon these families may return to their native lands.

In addition to Daniele Aquinati, Adriatic Area Sales Manager, as Santa's helpers were also present Massimiliano Armento, Osimo plant manager, Paolo Luna, factory foreman, and Sergio Carletti
