Revamping of the Cut-to-Length SP2200x6: more automation, quality and speed

The SP2203 in Alpignano has been back in operation for a few weeks, following a revamping process carried out in collaboration with FIMI, always aiming for continuous improvement.

It was decided to invest in order to enhance fundamental aspects for our customers and the market:

  1. Product quality, by reducing machine setup errors and the amount of scale typical of hot-rolled black steel
  2. Production efficiency, by speeding up the process

This was made possible through:

  • Automation of machine settings
  • Installation of a new brushing unit
  • Implementation of a more efficient user interface

The SP2203 is suitable for various markets such as lifting equipment, earthmoving machinery, shipbuilding and automotive , thanks to the following key features:

  1. Maximum coil width: 2,200 mm
  2. Maximum sheet length: 16,000 mm
  3. Thickness range: 1 mm to 6 mm
  4. Maximum tensile strength (Rm): 1,200 MPa

As with all our machines, the SP2203 can also be used for the Hire Work.
